“Geez, guys, why’s everyone so upset about this Jerry Sandusky thing? Don’t hate da player, hate da game.”
you gotta remember too that chunkiness is also a function of hem size. a boot that doesn’t look chunky with a wider hem will look chunky/clunky with a 7.5” hem

Unless you’re kent money, in which case, no hem size will ever prevent your feet from looking like they belong to a resident of Munchkin Land.
Anonymous asked: can you tlak some shit on mike having a 5k bike and going to one of the most expensive private colleges there is and bitching and moanign about spending more then two figures on clothes?
Dear Magician,
I’ll give it a shot. Mikey is a good kid, but like Kanye West, he is “lost in the world” at this point in his life. Mike’s obsessiveness over his clothing (non-) purchases suggests that whether he comes from a middle or upper-middle class background, he himself doesn’t have much spending money either from his own efforts or through his family. Contrast that with other SW&D dwellers in that same age bracket who are either beneficiaries of wealthy parents or are moving white in between astronomy study group sessions.
Mikey is lost right now, though. He is a 5’2” tangible of what the average SW&D frequenter is: Insecure, dorky, bad with girls, masked with a lot of silly rap vernacular and posturing. Mikey is the SW&D whipping boy chiefly because he has the guts/stupidity to be so transparent within the confines of the jungle that is SW&D. We must remember that the lad is 18/19. At that age, most of us were idiots who said really stupid things online. And even worse, we didn’t realize how stupid these things we were because at that age, our skill set is mostly limited to not shitting ourselves and swiping our meal card plans.
Unless that guy finds Mikey on his bike again and finishes the job, Mikey will get older and probably stop saying so many dumb things. He will still think a lot of dumb things. But he will have accrued the presence of mind to shut the hell up and not treat Random Fashion Thoughts like his Twitter feed. #swag
All in all, Mikey is a well-meaning, yet naive grasshopper unlike someone like that dummy dmash.
indianajawnz asked: Why is the ToJ thread more popular in SF than on sufu?
Indiana,
The ToJ thread is more “popular” on Styleforum than it is on Superfuture for many reasons. The most prominent of these reasons seem to be:
- Several SF members being unable to comprehend the idea of emailing their inquiries about ToJ products to Drew rather than cluttering the ToJ thread with them.
- SF members, news and old, have for the most part been trained to believe in the myth of a perfect fit. Subsequently, most people insist on complicating Drew’s basic measurement instructions with question after question about measuring themselves for their jacket that will be in the Buying and Selling forums within a week of them receiving their package.
- Otter/Malakas’ parents had him.
- A lot of people cannot get past this concept of molding the collar of the moto, putting it on the same level of difficulty as splitting the atom or sitting through an episode of American Idol.
- Nobody knows how to read. Drew: Here are the options for this jacket. Random Dummy: Hey Drew, can you make the jacket with *insert option that Drew did not list*
In a perfect world, the ToJ thread would consist of just Drew’s posts and pictures/reviews of ToJ products from buyers. Postings of any other kind would be punishable upon torture within the Temple of Jawnz.
